I was getting this error when converting a 3.2.. module into 4.8.0 module. I couldn't work out what the cause was and finally worked out that I had not deleted the original 3.2.. dll for the module in the bin directory. I checked the namespaces for each bit of code and deleted the original dll from the bin directory.

The problem was fixed. There is a lot of responses to this error on other sites and they may well be right also. This one probably relates more to conversion from older DNN modules to the new 4.8.0 onwards.
